You’ve asked and we’ve delivered -- straight from the Christmas Box. Kate’s Book of Things is a journey through some of Kate’s most beloved possessions. Spanning decades and lovingly collected at The Last Homely House, these objects are a deep dive into Kate’s creative brain. With pictures by Anna and designed by Adam, this little book is an explosion of colour, ideas, and laughs!

Kate wrote about many of the Things that have a special place in her life, not expensive things or meaningful to anyone but her, but a collection of unique objects with a story behind each one.

Kate’s book of things

It’s a lovely little book of memories shared, I guess we could all make our own little book! Beautifully produced. There’s inspiration on every page to revisit the button box !

this book is a treasure

Lovely little book. I'm inspired to make one of my own just for myself and my children. We all have things that are special to us and it's nice to have them all collected in a little book to peruse and enjoy.

The Tiger and Value of Friendship

I am a Fireman’s daughter as well. I know about frequent moves around Southern California and memories of past schools and friends.
Lovely to learn about Kate in this manner of a curated list of significant objects in her life. We all should publish similar autobiographies for our children and grandchildren.
May the Last Homely House continue on with all manner of handmade things and chats on the Lime Green Sofa. Well done, Kate.

Really fun idea. Already made a list of mine. Now need to write the story behind the items.
